This was a little card kit that I made a while back-I used a coupon holder from Target's dollar spot to make the case for the cards-
Inside I made little tabs for each of the occasions.
I hope you all had a great week. We had a funeral to attend on Saturday and then we had my nieces 8th Birthday dinner tonight! Happy Birthday Katie-I cannot believe that you are already 8!!! Where does the time go?
I have still been enjoying March Madness- I picked UNC to win it all-Gonzaga is another favorite-there have been so many good games this past week.

Fun Run in Anaconda

Sorry I have been absent from Blogging for so long-I think it is due to two factors: 1.) March Madness and I cannot get enough of the basketball games and 2.) Facebook
I am addicted-if they had a FB group I should probably attend.
Things have been rather busy-work,school and just the normal everyday routine.
This weekend we ran the annual St. Patty's Day Run in Anaconda-then Skiied on Sun with Ryan and my sis! It was a busy but fun weekend. We had corned-beef and cabbage at Papa and Nana's house on Sat. night and it was SOOOOO yummy- gotta love St. Patty's Day- I hope you are all enjoying your month of March-I will try and be better about posting more often-! Take Care!

Today is my sister in law Sarah's Birthday and we want to wish her a Happy Birthday! She is a great sister in law to have-always there to listen and lend an ear. She will run to Hobby Lobby for me in a heart beat and is one of the God Parents to our children, along with her husband Scott-I feel so blessed to have her in my life and today I hope she is having a wonderful day! Happy Birthday Auntie!!!

Sledding Fun

This weekend was a ton of fun. Lil man didn't have school on Friday so we headed up to the cabin in Thurs night. Friday our friends the Becks came up and spent the night. It was a ton of fun. We went sledding both Fri and Sat. The kids had a ton of fun, especially because Jeremy and Ike would take turns hauling the kids up the hill on the snow machine. They had a blast and I think all the adults did too. We made homeade french fries on Friday night!!!
Saturday night we went into Anaconda to have dinner at Nana and Papa's house. We then ended up watching Bull Riding. My lil love is in love with Bull Riding. She thought it was so fun to watch!!! Today we were able to see my brother and sister in law along with my nephews from Great Falls. My Brother came down to pick up Ike's truck that I had a lil fender bender with and took it back to fix it!! ( Which means Ike is driving ol Blue again (thanks Amber and Jared) It was so nice to see them. Night was finished off with a work out at the Peak!! I hope you have a great week! I cannot believe it is the last week in Feb.!

The Birds and the Bees. . .well kinda

No pictures today, just had to share with ya a funny story. Okay I totally wasn't ready for the big talk about babies, and the place where it happened well I guess I should have seen it coming. We brought TT our newest family member in for her last puppy shots. I told the front office lady that I wanted to have her spayed - so I guess Lil Man heard me because when we got into the room he asked, mom what does spayed mean? Alright, well taking her parts out so that she couldn't have babies wasn't good enough. He kept asking well can she still have puppies and how do they grow, and well for the love of Pete. . . so we got out the book in the vet clinic (luckily they had a dog anatomy one there) talked about all the parts and how the babies grow- and well the list goes on. Where was Ike when I really needed him. So needless to say TT is having a hysterectomy next Wed. Spayed I think the girl needs a little more credit than that, she is having it all taken out! So parents be warned-it can happen anytime, probably when you least expect it! I hope you are having a great week!

Just a few cards to start the week. A random set of supplies was used-but I love these color combinations.
Today is a busy day-little man is off, so he and my lil love are playing. The last I heard they were setting up and obstacle course for the dogs. Lil love is happy to have her brother home to play with for just one more day. Both of them have been sick along with Ike, so they have been spending a lot of time together. I think the ear infections are almost gone, thanks to a great dose of antibiotics! We are going to run errands and maybe have lunch in town today. I hope you all have a great week.

This past weekend we went to Spokane to watch the Zags play! We had a blast.
I am deathly afraid of flying in little planes but this time it was a little different. We flew in a jet and it was so fun-smooth and no problems, the only downfall-no potty-but it was only a 34 minute flight!
We ate at PF Changs, and Franks Diner, Cyrus O'Learys and had a great time with our friends Joley and Ray! It was really sad that the Zags lost-but we did have a great time!
The kids had a ton of fun with Nana and Papa! They always enjoy spending time with them!
I hope you have a great week. This Friday is our schools Valentine Carnival and the kids both have parties this week, so it should be a busy one.

Just a lil card for Melissa Phillips Card Challenge. I loved the colors and the flowers were a lot of fun to work with. I used mostly Bazzill Cardstock, and flowers from Stampin up and Joanns felt flowers (dollar section.)

New Years Resolution

Part of my "New Years Resolution," was to make lil love new curtains and pillows for her room. My mom bought her a new duvet cover for her birthday and she and I went and picked out material for curtains, and pillows-it was a ton of fun-the great part was I made the curtains, four pillows, and a cover for her nightstand all for $25- I was really excited and she loves her new room.
I am going scrapbooking tonight for the first time in a long time with Stacie and Amber-going to work on Valentines Day cards- I can't wait-
I think we are going to watch the superbowl at home-and other than that just doing stuff around the house this weekend!

Finally some pictures!!!

Okay Kaylene they are finally here-we took our annual Valentines pictures tonight and here is what my little love dressed TT up in. Griz pretty much likes her. When he wants to get away he just climbs to the top of the couch. She cannot get there "yet." My little love, loves to dress up her TT-she got a lot of cute things for her hair from Auntie for Christmas, and she got a gift card to Petsmart and she bought clothes for her. Tonight was interesting with two kids and two dogs taking pictures-it was a lot of fun actually-I had to bribe the kids with a Hershey's Bar so I can tell they are getting out of the excitement of taking picture days-They had a blast with the dogs-and pretty much forgot about the candy bars-
This weekend was a lot of fun-we went skiing both Fri and Sat- little man didn't have school on Fri-
My dad took the kids on Sat afternoon so that Ike and I could ski-He actually took them ice-fishing and my lil love caught the first and only fish!! She was excited.
My skiing day wasn't so good-we were skiing on the backside of Discovery and I was going to get on the chair and somehow my ski caught an edge just as the chair was picking me up-it ripped my legs back and my skis both came out from under me-Ike said I was lucky they came off or I would have been pulled under the chair and probably knocked out-needless to say that was the last run-my legs should have been stretched out a couple inches. We had a lot of fun skiing together, we don't get to do that often. I hope you all have a great week.

I am so sorry-I have gotten calls that I am MIA-I have been gone on vacation and them really busy with work and end of the year stuff-
A lot has happened since I last posted-we added a new member to our family. We finally got TT-I will post pictures later. We went to Maui for Christmas for 9 days-and then I have been really busy completing a few scrapbooks-working-and taking care of the family.
I also cleaned out our horendous (sp?) hallway closet full of things that were cluttering it up and you could barley open the door-I should have taken before and after pictures-I am slowly working through the house cleaning out things. Little Man's room was a huge project. See he is just like my mom-(the both keep EVERYTHING!!!) I think pack rat is a genetic disorder that my son has inherited. Everything means SOMETHING to him-papers from school, projects from preschool, and old little trinket toys-let me tell you I went to town while he was at school last week. We have been busy at work with the new year-and the kids started swimming lessons two times a week, and oh yes-through skiing in there-and helping out at school. I am not trying to justify my absence-just say I am sorry and I promise I will get better! I hope you are all having a Happy New Year!! I will post pictures soon!

Go Griz-only two more days until the National Championship-
Okay I seriously had another one of my mornings again. We usually wake up at 6:30 to leave at 7:30-at 7:11 my lil love says mommy-that sound is driving me crazy! It is my little love talking about the alarm that went off at 6:20 and was still going off!!
After I wake lil man up and get everyone going-I go into the bathroom(I showered the night before and I put these new little hot rollers in my hair) well I took them out and oh my it looks like I had a standard poodle sitting on my head-my kids were laughing so hard-lil man said, "mom you aren't going to my Christmas Concert like that tonight are you?" (I think I will do this to him again when he is 16-and really show up like that)-
So needless to say we made it out the door(without my cell phone and baby Jesus-for the Christmas play) but that is alright I have all the kids, mine and the Hollenback kids(who are now laughing at my hair too) The traffic was horrible and we were late to school and to work by about 15 minutes(I think my boss is going to fire me-if this keeps happening.) I can't believe how tired I have been-I think it was due to the lack of sleep and 15 dozen cookies I made the night before!!! I hope you all have a great night!

It has been so busy-I am sorry I haven't posted-thank you for those of you who still read my blog and there is nothing there!!!
The pictures are of my lil love and Griz walking today-she loves him so much! For her bday we surprised her and let her pick out a new puppy, she chose a girl (of course to even out the score in our house) and she named her TT. She will be ready the first part of January. She and Griz have such a great time, and she really takes good care of him. He usually runs all around the neighborhood-so I wonder what was going through his little mind while she was walking him around in circles in the cul-da-sac (sp?) I have also posted a picture of TT. She is 4 wks old and 1.7 lbs.
Lil man got the experience of a lifetime when the man who sits next to us at the Griz Games had passes on the field. He asked the kids if they would want to go-lil love said she will go when she is six-I think she thought that she had to run out of the tunnel with the team (gosh I would be scared too, I think I would get trampled!!)
So the boys went down and got to watch everyone coming through the tunnel-his four favorite senior players came over and gave him a high five and a hug-Rob, Colt, Colin and Andrew!! The Griz are down to the Final Four and they play the James Madison Dukes on Friday night at 6:00-I was watching them on the internet and they look tough-But I have complete faith in our team and know we can do it!!! GO GRIZ!!!
The last picture is of our Christmas Tree upstairs-real downstairs and artificial upstairs-!!!
Today I spent most of the day baking and making carmel corn (yummy!!!)

A Great Weekend

We had such a great weekend-One of my favorite this year! The Carrie Underwood Concert was amazing. We didn't realize how good our seats were until we got there. They were right next to the stage-in reaching distance-It was so fun-especially when she sang-"Paradise City."
Last Thurs we had our annual griz dinner and the kids had a blast-they had never met Tyler Corwin or Chase Reynolds before and so they were way excited-my friend Krista tied up a bunch of Griz blankets and we gave them to them. We had steaks and twice baked potatoes and they were yummy-
The griz game on Saturday was awesome! I went and got our playoff tickets today-My little love stood in line with me for an hour and a half to get our tickets!!! I cannot wait until Sat-but there is a lot of shopping to do before then!!
Sunday was Church-then the kids went to a family friends house to play and Ike and I went on a date to Breakfast at Pauls! That evening we went to see Santa and Laurie Lanes Studio-She takes pictures of the kids with Santa-and 5 x 7's are only $10-When we left there my little man said-thanks for bringing us there mom-!! It was much better than the mall!
I have been making little recipe christmas treat books-This paper is using the PAPER-TREY ink line of paper and I love it! I hope you all have a great week and a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Busy Bag Lady. . .

I go through these "spurts"-sewing, then card-making, then scrapbooking-I probably should add house cleaning in there somewhere-but why it's over-rated anyway right???
These are a few of the bags I have been sewing latley-
Griz have their last big regular season home game against the cats this weekend! It should be a ton of fun! My husband and I are going on a date Friday night-we are going to go to Red Robin for dinner and then the Carrie Underwood Concert after that-It should be a fun weekend! Can't wait-and it is only Monday!

Tis the Season. . .

If I didn't drive my family and friends crazy I would start Christmas stuff in June-well maybe I do start some stuff in June and it gets stuck in the Monica Closet-but I just started bringing it all out and getting ready for the big day-December 25th!
I love Christmas and everything about it. Our kids are at such a fun age-both still love Santa and can hardly wait-though we have to get through both of their birthday's before Christmas-they are really excited for the season.
These are just a few projects I have been working on. The little stand is a photo tree that I found at Pier One on Sale for $10-I made a bunch of simple Christmas cards and ran ribbon all the way up the stand. Someone could send these cards and then display the ones they get on the cute little red clips.
Holiday Treats are cookbooks that I have made.
It was so cute, last night Ike and I were sitting in the kitchen and our little love says while looking over her chocolate milk carton," I figured it out - the chocolate milk comes from the brown cows!!!!" How could you argue with that! The lightbulbs were a flashing and we couldn't rain on her parade.
My hunter men didn't get anything this weekend-bummer-they gave it a good try and will try again this weekend!

Ike threatened me with my life with this picture but I just could not resist-It was so fuuny-when he had his Billy Bob Teeth in and goofy glasses-He looks like a great dentist right? Especially for kids- Actually he just won an award a while back for the Missoula Independent's Dentist of the Year for Missoula-so we are all really proud of him and our great staff!
We have been so busy with Halloween Parties and Football Games-I am sorry I haven't been very good at blogging!!! I hope you are all having a great week!

We are going to do these Friday for my little man's Halloween Party-instead of glue you use pins -stick pins and push pins to hold the felt in!! I have tried glue before on Pumpkins and it really dosen't stay very long!

The Corneil Family Benefit

Tragically in April Tracy Corneil died at her home. She left behind her husband Dave and two boys Conner and Riley. She was part owner of the Scrapbook Hideaway in Missoula. This weekend we had a fund raiser for her at the Target Range School. Lisa Bearnson and Stacy Julian volunteered their time and efforts to come and teach a couple of scrapbook classes to help raise money. What a great event for a great cause. I had a lot of fun with Lisa and my friends and laughed a lot! We hiked the M hill today with Gina and it was a beautiful day to be out!
Ike took the kids to the cabin and lil love stayed with Nana while the boys went hunting this morning! Thanks to everyone for a great weekend!

Moms 60th Birthday Surprise

On Friday we had a surprise Birthday Party for my mom-she was so surprised-She infact told one of her best friends,"I know my kids are going to forget my birthday this year!" Well we got her! In the picture is my entire side of the family-brothers (2) and Sister -and all the grandkids-The other picture is of just siblings and their spouses-It was a lot of fun to get everyone together-Then Sat was soccer and the Griz Game-and Sunday was the last day of soccer.
The other pictures are a couple of my favorite things-I love FALL-This is a picture I took this morning when I was driving down Higgins Street - It is so beautiful-the colors are amazing. The other is a picture of one of my rod iron baskets I got in Spokane last weekend at Mel's Nursery! They will be so fun to fill with all kinds of good things for the holidays-The little pumpkins are from Benson's Farm!!

Recently my niece was featured on the local news in Albuquerque New Mexico for her role in helping raise money for breast cancer in conjunction with her volleyball team. She is a senior at Del Norte High School where she is a great volleyball and basketball player-and not to mention first and foremost a top notch student! Way to go KELCEE-We love you!!

Things to Do Project. . .

Well my friend Molly gave me the cutest little Creative Cafe Binder awhile back and last night I created this-Things to do Book, and with the scraps I made a couple cards. The paper is from Scenic Route Paper Co. and I love it-It has a lot of the fall colors in it-and these are some of my favorite colors. I love Fall-my favorite thing this year has been of course the pumpkins from Bensons and our apple tree in our back yard has huge delicious apples. Anybody out there with a good apple crisp recipe? We are all getting excited about our trip to Spokane-the guys are even excited-I think mostly because of Cabelas, and the football game-but it should be a great time.

I had a great birthday thanks to all my friends and family. The best part is that it isn't over yet. This weekend we are going to Spokane to celebrate, and go to the Griz Game.
My lil love made me a birthday cake. I am sure that my immune system is going to be strong. She informed me that she wrote with her fingers (after being at preschool)-Happy Birthday Mom along the entire side of the cake (I am sure there was a little licking going on in-between each letter). She was so cute-when we woke up the morning after my birthday she said, hey mom you don't look any different now that you are 34!!!
Friday night was fun scrapbooking with my friends-I almost owned the place-I broke the acu-cut machine and a huge frame of Gina's all in about 10 minutes-I had to sit down and eat a couple pumpkin bars-before I broke anything else. (by the way Amber those pumpkin bars were awesome). We had a ton of fun eating out before hand and trying on shoes in the buckle!!!!!
The rest of the weekend was filled with Soccer and dinner at Hu Hot!!! The boys didn't get anything hunting but they had a great time!!! Lil man walked a long way and is getting to be quite the hunter!

Okay seriously I have had a rough 24 hours-it started Wed at work when Michelle(one of our assistants) and I were thumbing through the computer looking at office birthday's and realized that we FORGOT our office manager Shannons birthday the day before-ok how do you do that-I thought her birthday was after mine-Michelle and I both thought it was the 13th of October-so I have felt horrible-
Then this morning at 7:25 I rolled over and freaked out!!!! We usually leave the house at 7:30 to go and pick up our car-pool kids-holy cow talk about an adrenaline rush-I woke up the kids-(who did not get breakfast this morning-I felt horrible) then I got in the shower-dressed, combed my hair- wait a minute-I called my friend Julie the other end of the carpool and panicked-she picked my lil man up-and my little love and I hurried and got ready-wow-out the door in 15 minutes-I had a patient at 8:00-took lil love to the office with me and Margaret came and picked her up and took her to preschool-I have NEVER slept through my alarm clock or slept in like that-not in highschool, college, hygiene school EVER!! It started my day off rough-
Then I had the patient from _ _ _ _ at 8:00-by the way I was on time and smiling!! He was very rude to me and by 8:30 I was crying-then my husband asked him about all the stuff he said to me and he LIED about it-Okay seriously some people need attitude adjustments and this man was one of them-but my day did get better-lil love made me a birthday cake with those never "blow them out trick candles" and we laughed a lot!!!!! Oh yeah and we went to the mall tonight! The boys are hunting-lil man gets to miss school tomorrow because he got a 100% on his spelling test on Wed-

I know. . . I have been really bad about posting latley. I like the rest of you just have tooooo much going on. So here it is in a nutshell.
Friday we had the Jog a Thon at my little mans school-it is a large fund raiser that helps the school with funding. This year they raised more than $60,000. They get pledges per mile or a flat pledge and then run as many laps around the high school track. They have 90 minutes to complete their laps. Little man broke his record-he ran 29 laps this year. His goal was 30 laps-So his little legs ran 7 and a quarter miles!!!! He has been quite tired all weekend and rightfully so. Ike ran along with him and lil love and I did a whopping 4 laps-at oranges, drank the water, visited at every turn and had a great time.
Sat was the Griz football game-got to see my good friend Stacey Bauer from Butte-it was so great to see you Stacey-It was a close game-but a lot of fun-the kids like going down on the field after the game to bring their favorite players twinkies and play on the field.
Nana and Papa came over this weekend and just the girls went shopping today-we got our little pumpkins from Benson's Farm and had a great time. Then we were off to Y Soccer-Holy Cow-tomorrow am is going to come early and I think I should catch some ZZZZZZ! Have a great week!

The Halloween photo is of a few of my favorite decorations-I love the Fall and could not wait to put my Halloween/Fall stuff up-I am a little obsessed-We have been thumbing through the Halloween costumes and trying to decide what we are going to be this year-my lil love wants to be Wall-E-and my lil man wants to be a cowboy-well that was yesterday-he will change his mind several times-that's why we really "wait " on the costume for him. Ok-I feel much better now that camp is all over-all 54 campers and counselors made it home from the Griz Game and I feel much better-We had a lot of fun-Friday night the U of M dance team came and the campers really liked that-they stayed for almost 1.5 hours-then Sat was the Griz game and Sat night we had a costume contest-Sun-Life Flight came in to show the kids the helicopter (nobody was sick)-and the kids really liked that and then we had our Olympic races and then Monte came. My little man was tired and still is-he stayed up Sat night for the ultimate ping pong championship until 1:00 am-(the older campers begged me to let him stay with them)
I missed my lil love and my husband and I was glad it was all done for another year-we had a ton of fun!!!!
I am sorry I didn't post until now I am having computer issues and I still can't get the Internet in my office to work-
Just got news that the little bag I made below using Creative Cafe Products is going to be used on their web-site-I am really excited!!!!!!

Grammar Lesson

1. Rule 1- always capitalize the first word "of a sentence."

Okay-former teacher-I learned that you need to completely explain things to 1st graders- I was helping little man with his spelling words-we kept going over that you only capitalize a word if it is at the beginning of a sentence or someones name etc. So he had his words down and if they get all the word correct and the sentences on Wed. they don't have to take the test on Fri-well...Wed came and went, and I said to his teacher, "how did he do on his spelling test." Great she said-but he capitalized the o in of? Well I went my way and in the car on the way home, I asked how was your spelling test? He said great mom! I said you spelled all of the words right and your sentence was perfect, but I said you only made one little mistake. He said, well what was it? I said, you capitalized the O in of-
He said, yeah-it was the first word of the test and you told me to always capitalize the first word!!!!! oh my-I feel bad-he listened and too well-bless his little heart!

My girl is having a daughter daddy weekend this weekend and she is planning a big slumber party with her dad-we are really going to miss them, but are looking forward to camp! I hope you all have a great weekend-

Busy as a Bee-
It has been soooo crazy-finishing up stuff for camp which is this weekend! I am so excited we have 40 campers and 25 counselors-It is called "Camp Limberlimbs," a camp for kids with Juvenille Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and other auto-immune disorders-It is so much fun-I have become the director somehow??? We are all going to a Griz game on Saturday-which should be a ton of fun for the kids. I will post pictures on Sunday. I have been finishing up my kits, and doing spelling test reviews (wow, I cannot believe my little man is old enough for that.) My husband asked each one of them on the way into dinner, what the best part of their day was, little man said, "my spelling test." Lil love said, "show and share." She was able to bring her stuffed dog, because I wouldn't let her bring Griz to school. She did put Griz's leash and collar on him though-
This felt has been looking at me for months, so due to the fact I have not done anything but kits and camp stuff-I wanted to sew this lil bag tonight-It is creative cafe felt and is a cute bag for a little love! I wonder how long until mine spots this one.
I promise I will get better next week at posting again-just too many things going on-
and I don't think my walking partner Stacie is going to let me out of our nightly walks/runs to blog-I will sneak in after though! Hope you are all doing well!

Griz Attack!!!

Alright I will get to our Pozega Lake trip in a minute but first. . .
This afternoon we were cleaning around our cabin-Ike went out back to work on the wood pile. I just sent Little man out to help him-he came running back in and said, "quick mom get dad's pistol, there is a bear and he is after Griz (our 6 pound yorkie) so I panicked like usual and scrambled and could not find the pistol-Ike put away in a safe spot (of course) so Little man, calm and collected, said grab dad's bow it is right there!! So we got the bow and ran out! Ike came running back and said-you are not going to believe what had happened-when he was working he heard Griz bark and he looked over and saw Griz facing a bear-so Ike turned to go get something and looked back the the bear was running-across the road-he thought after Griz, but Griz was CHASING THE BEAR- so then he chased after him screaming for him to come back-Griz treed the bear and then left when he couldn't get the bear down!!!!!!-Little man said well I guess we won't have to worry about bears with Griz around-!!!!!!

Okay back to Pozega Lake-first of all I spelled it wrong-thanks to Papa our tour guide and Pozega Lake expert the spelling is correct-love ya Papa!!! The trip was a blast despite the 25 lb pack on my back - and I am not in shape to ride into a mountain lake on a motorbike-the kids were both troopers-they loved finding huckleberries, the ride, fishing, and seeing Papa's cabin where he and his 6 brothers and sister all stayed every summer! They took care of the cabin at Pozega Lake and worked there every summer to earn money-their dad would go out every couple of weeks to buy groceries- I am amazed they all made it throught those summers-but he said they were great times and the memories and stories they had are great. I sat on their toliet and broke it-we barley got a picture before the seat snapped! Our 6 hour venture was a fun one and one that our children will soon not forget-make sure you spend time and learn what your family history was all about, it is worth it!!! Have a great week!

I haven't taken a hiatus on purpose-it is simply due to the fault of blogger-I have tried to post for a couple days and it wouldn't let me upload photos-so I am sorry-
Okay Monday I could not get out of bed-due to this little act of water skiing that I did on Sunday-All went really well-I haven't been water skiing for 20 plus years, and so I can't say that I stayed up for very long-but I went two times this weekend and had a blast. Then came Monday morning, when little man said, Geez mom what is wrong with you-okay I am still sore and it is Wednesday night!!! Better keep running so that I can get into better shape. The other acts are our olympics that we had on the boat-our little loves entertained Ike and I will these stunts off the rope! We had a fun weekend and are heading to Pazigga Lake this weekend! Can't wait
The Dates to Remember Class was really fun-forgot my camera-sorry girls-we had a great time. I am going to be selling the Dates to Remember Kits and I will have 2 left over-so if anyone wants one let me know!

Fun Times at CKU

Finally, I am posting pictures from CKU- I am sorry it has taken so long! I was such a great trip. We had fun meeting new people, learning new techniques, laughing a lot, shopping and the list goes on. If any of you out there are wondering if you would enjoy a CKU I would say YES- go for it. I heard they are going to have another one in Provo Utah in August next year!
Later I will post a couple of the projects that we did! I had a lot of fun meeting great scapbookers and meeting people from all over the world!!
We have had so much fun watching the olympics - our kids love it. My little man was watching gymnastics yesterday and his comment was, "Whoa, that girl is WAY Skinner than Mom! I just had to laugh! My lil love likes to say Bejing, over and over again-her favorite part was the opening ceremonies! I love the olympics!
Another tooth out at our house tonight-lil man is only six and I seriously think Ike is going to need to make him a partial so that he has some teeth to eat with. I think he has lost 7 teeth now! It took 2 hours to get this one out and a lot of technique. Lil man is getting smart-he won't let his dad touch them. Finally Ike told him that he had to get it out because if he didn't he would swallow it in his sleep. I have pictures of the little dangling beauty and I will post them later! I hope you are all having a great week. I need to seriously get some beauty sleep! I am sorry if there are any typos! I am tired!

Sunset at the Lake

Oh how I don't want summer to end-we had so much fun on the lake this weekend. I love the sunset! I actually got in the water-but no water-skiing, it was toooo cold.
The kids had so much fun swimming-I swear they don't care about the temp-neither does my husband-he wake boarded!
Tues is the big day to leave to CKU-we are so excited to go-not really excited to drive that far-but it'll be a fun road trip for Amber and I-I will post a lot of pictures when I return.
Happy Anniversary to my mother and father in law on Saturday-41 years! Wow-Happy Anniversary you guys!
I cannot believe that school is only a month away! We went shopping for back packs tonight! And we had to go to Cold Stone while we were out on Reserve Street! I hope you all have a great week!

Alright it has been day three to my "Back to Running" routine. And I know that I am out of shape, because little griz dog can run faster than me. He is only 8 inches off the ground and weighs 6 lbs. Okay I seriously have a lot of work to do- but three days and I am still doing it-I don't go very far-just enough to get my heart working. Tonight the kids and Taylor ran with me, along with Griz, and it was nice to have company.
This other picture is one of Stephanie's new doodles-we really need to get her up to Montana to teach a class! She is amazing. I have just been working on a few things for CKU next week. Cannot wait to go-Amber and I leave on Tues and we are driving to Provo-
Off to the cabin for the weekend-we are all ready to go-tomorrow night we are going to have a hot dog roast and make s'mores! See you Sunday!

Summer Fun

It seems like forever since I posted on my blog and that is why I have random pictures and a lot to say.
Great weekend. We went swimming with Molly and the kids on Friday and they had so much fun! Then we headed to Anaconda to have dinner with Nana and Papa. On Saturday my dad took the kids to Evil Kenevil Days in Butte and Fishing at the potholes on Sunday. So when Ike returned on Sunday we finally got to take a bike ride-(this is our picture without helmets) it is the rule that helmets are worn-so if you ever see my husband without one he is in big trouble!!!!! He loves the bike and has had a lot of fun with it-It sure beats filling up the Chevy Silverado with gas let me tell ya-It cost him $14.85 to ride to work all last week.
My lil love and I hung out all day today-while our little man was at football camp. My self and two neighbors all locked ourselves out of our houses today (what a coinicendience??) So my little love was climbing through the screen windows to let everyone in, I can't believe three of us were locked out in the same day. She had a lot of fun doing it.
The picture of my little man is with Griz, and I found them like this one night last week. I don't know how griz made it under the covers of if lil man put him there.
The two garden photos are of my mother in laws gardens-they are so beautiful!!!
She and my father in law really work a ton in their yard and it shows.
My next class "Dates to Remember," will be August 19th at the Hideaway-call to sign up, I am taking 8 people-pictures will be posted next week.
Also other great scrapbooking news, Lisa Bearnson and Stacy Julian will be coming to Missoula in October to do a fundraising benefit crop for Tracy and her family. We are so lucky to have both of them come. The Scrapbook Hideaway will be posting dates, times and classes soon.
This weekend we are heading up to the Lake-can't wait, haven't been there for a couple of weeks, and really miss being up there. Maybe I will even waterski!!!

Ten Years Today

Today Ten Years Ago today I married my sweetie in Butte Montana. I have to say besides the birth of my children it was one of the happiest days of my life. Ten years, 2 children, 2 dogs, moves, school, buying a practice, oh the list could go on, and here we are. I love it where we are, couldn't ask for a better life and am so blessed to have what I have. It has been a great ten years and I can't wait to see what the next 60 bring. When we first got married and lived in Milwaukee we said that we were going to buy a Harley on our 10th Wedding Anniversary, welllllll, nothing was said for a long time and let's just say I will post pictures later.
Now on to less "deep thinking issues," here is a new school project-something fun and simple for school, coming up in a month.
My day started off rather rough. I usually wake up at about 6-6:15-I see patients starting at 8:00. Well at 7:15 I awoke to Griz puking on my bed, didn't know whether to clean up the puke, wake the kids, or run to the shower. I did clean up the puke, then woke up the kids, and then took a 36 second shower-
Everyone made it out the door in 17 minutes-wow!

Vacation Book Class

I had a great time teaching at the Scrapbook Hideway last night. Even though I put those poor girls through a whole album-they all completed an entire 5 x 7 album in one night! Good job! They all did a great job and their vacaction books turned out great!
The next class I am going to teach is the "Dates to Remember Book," I will have to ask Gina about a date-I think there will be the book and 5 cards to go along with it!

Home from Vegas. . .

What a great trip to Vegas we had-We saw two great shows-O and Blue Man Group-both were great! We ate at a lot of awesome restaurants-If you get to Vegas you need to go to the Burger Bar-They have the best hamburgers around. We shopped and swam and just had a great time together! We loved watching the people-I guess it must say it somewhere that you are allowed to wear what ever you want in Vegas-because let me tell you that everything goes-We had an awesome time-but I think we are both happy to be home. Two weekends in a row traveling is a lot for people that usually don't go much further than Georgetown Lake. We also visited the Harley Store in Vegas-very cool and for those of you wondering I have no idea who the man in the O picture sign is-I was just taking a photo and he happened to be there-I must get to laundry and kissing my kids again goodnight-(they have been sleeping for awhile-but I love seeing them sleep-especially when I have been away for awhile) Oh yeah big thanks to Nana and Papa who took care of the fort! When they picked us up at the airport today they looked like they were ready to be relieved of their duty! Thanks so much the kids had a great time with you!!

Our Rental Car

Recently for an undisclosed reason Ike's truck has been in the shop (and no it wasn't me for once!!) One of our assistants accidentally hit the dumpster at the office after running an errand-any how long story short the truck is in the shop and our rental car is known as "ol blue." It is Amber and Jared's and we thank them so much for allowing us to borrow it while Ike's truck is getting it fixed-
Jared tells Ike it is quite the chick magnet and I better watch out-
I drove ol blue coming home from the office tonight, and she likes to go 55- that's where the little orange spot is on her speedometer-and that's where she should stay-
Her only down fall is lack of cup holders and we are going to work on that one!
Thanks for the ride and she has been a perfect rental vehicle for us while Ike's truck is getting fixed.

Our meeting was great- took a lot of great dental classes and it was really fun for our entire staff to be together!! Despite our assistant Michelle nearly knocking her front teeth out in the Spokane airport- it was a great trip-
The second night we were there we ate at the Cheesecake Factory and the third night we ate at Ivers on the waterfront-hence my new flossing invention (Sarah I know you will appreciate this one) Have you ever seen those little floss handles? I made my very own with my crab claw- It is now known as the Seattle Floss Handle!!!!
We got to shop and just hang out and have fun after our classes!

Big week this week with Griz Basketball Camp and our trip to Vegas!!!

We are taking our car part way-to Spokane for our Dental Conference and so I thought the staff wouldn't appreciate the wrappers, dirt, chicken nuggets, and other little special things my children leave underneath their carseats so I had it detailed. My husband picked it up after work and brought it home. When he brought it home he opened all the doors and my little love was looking inside-she ran in and said, "Mommy, Daddy bought you a new car!!!"
I guess I need to clean it more often!

Okay I have been seriously bummed out-It just so happened that Ike scheduled a dental course in Phoenix over a year ago and come to find out it landed on our anniversary-Not just an ol Anniversary-our 10th-so I was a little sad until today!!
It started at dinner when he told me that he needed to use my scrapbook room for awhile. He was down there for about 40 minutes when he came up with a gift certificate to my favorite clothing store and a card-(a homemade one by him) First he went into the details about all my little gadgets and how he liked the chalk (maybe our next Tim Holtz?????) He used stencils for the card-Heidi Swapp Hearts and inside this little message:
Here is to 10 wonderful years!!! The 10 best years of my life. Here is a little something to pick our an outfit for our big trip!

Fourth of July Weekend

What a great weekend!- We had a lot of fun relaxing even though it seemed like we were constantly doing something.
Let me put the 4th of July into perspective for you from my lil mans standpoint.
He asked his dad if we could move his birthday to the 4th of July. He saves his money all year for fireworks, and he can't sleep the night before we let off all the fireworks and the constant, "is it time yet?"
We did have fun and my lil love wasn't scared this year-she even lit some of them.
A BBQ with the family, water-fun (Ike said that I need to re-deem him with a picture that is nice and so here it is) a parade at the Lake (Which was a ton of fun) and last night Kung Fu Panda (again) yes we have seen it twice!! If you have never been to the Washoe Theatre in Anaconda you need to go sometime. It is so beautiful!!!

Alright a lot to share-sorry about all the pictures-just had to get them all in before the long weekend.
Best of Times: We have so much fun at the Lake-the kids love to be there-along with mom and dad!!! This was last weekends trip and a couple swimming photos. My husband is going to kill me for this one!!
Bags: Just a couple new bags- These are so fun to make!!!
Books: This is my new Dates to Remember Book-It is a book where you can keep track of all the birthdays, anniversaries, special days , any day that you would like to remember every year. I think that I may do this as a class at some point- Gina what do you think? It sits on your desk, and has 12 months for you to fill in with all of those special people in your life.
I hope you all have a wonderful SAFE 4th of July-we are off to watch the fireworks in Butte tomorrow night. We always watch them at Mt. Tech. Then Ike brought the kids to the big fireworks stand at Evaro Hill so I think we will be lighting fireworks for the next 2 weeks- (I was getting my hair done.) I think I should go supervise next year by the looks of the front seat of his truck-he is such a kid at heart! The rest of the weekend will be spent at the Lake!!

I have been working on my blog now for awhile and as you all may notice I haven't gotten very far-I think on Sunday night I am really going to put in some time and make this site look a little different!
I will post some pictures tomorrow-been working on some new bags and I have a new Dates to Remember Book that I may use as a class (not sure about that one yet) You can all tell me what you think.
This weekend was so much fun-we had a great time at the lake. We were out on the water a lot and I am now convinced my husband needs a helmet when wake-boarding-we are going to get one tomorrow- It is a comical site-me driving the boat-my little man is my co-pilot-lets me know what to do next-slow down, speed up, or we lost dad-my little love she holds Griz-and does a fine job-Myself I am so nervous driving-there are a lot of boats and ducks and well I am just paranoid!! It was a ton of fun and I am looking forward to spending the 4th weekend at the Lake. I promise I will be back tomorrow night with some photos!

Happy Friday-
Just a couple of new bags that I have been working on-Gina-you asked when I had time for everything? Well today I am dragging a little-I work from the time everyone goes to bed until I am done-usually around 12:30 am this week. It is catching up with me. Hopefully this weekend will be restful. We are heading out to the lake-it is supposed to be nice, and I am going to waterski this summer so maybe tomorrow will be the day.
Today we have a busy day planned, haircuts, cleaning house, and we are going to see the movie, "Wall-E" - Ike is off fishing today and so we are going to try and get everything packed to go, so when he gets off the river we can head up to the lake!!

A lot to Share!!

Happy Summer-I know I say it all the time-but boy I love summer- I have lots to share-so if you are in for a quick read-this may not be the post for you.
This weekend was so much fun-Junior Olympics for my little man was a fun time-hot but fun-he took 3rd in the 400, 200 and 100- he was very proud of these medals so I had to post them. We also took the boat out for the first time this weekend. It was sweatshirt weather on the water-but we had a ton of fun. The kids got new fishing poles from my sister and Ryan and they had a blast with them.
My class is a go, and I will be teaching it the 22nd of July. The information will be posted on the Scrapbook Hideaway website. It will be from 6-9 and I think the cost is going to be $26.95 for both the complete scrapbook and the journal. You also get to choose your color of album. There is a blue or a brown!! It should be a lot of fun!
I finally got some new material to sew some new bags. I made a pocket on the front of one just for something different. These are the big bags, so you can put a ton of stuff in them. If you are interested in one e-mail me at carrieheaphy@q.com. The cost is $30 each. Hopefully I will be getting more material soon so that I have a few to choose from.
Got to go fold Laundry and cook some lunch-I think we are off to Splash today for some summer fun.

We have a great staff and I really appreciate how hard they work so I made these little 4th of July lunch boxes for them with some surprises inside. New Vacation Book Class

This is my second class that I will be teaching at the Scrapbook Hideaway-see link to the right! I am going to hopefully be teaching it sometime in July!! It is a vacation book and travel journal. The vacation book will consist of 20 5 x 7 pages, 8 journal sheets and an envelope in the back for little bits of memorabilia!!!! I am so excited to teach this one!!! I am going to limit it to 8 people !! Everything will be cut out and prepared for you-
It is so beautiful out! Maybe we will get some sprinkler time this morning before we head out to our busy afternoon!
The woman I student taught under had brain surgery today and everything is great! I am so excited for you Bernie - way to go- you are such an inspiration for all of us!

Fun little store

Went to this fun little stationary store-Noteworthy just opened in Missoula's downtown association. It has a lot of cute notebooks and stationary right up my alley-I am probably the only person who loves going into Staples-I just love looking at all the possibilites-notebooks, pens, paper clips. I know I am weird-but I had a lot of fun looking in these two stores today.
Busy weekend ahead-birthday party and BBQ tomorrow and then my little man's last track meet on Saturday. Sat. night or Sun we will celebrate Papa's birthday. It is also my nieces 17th birthday this Saturday! Happy Birthday Kelcee and Papa!!

Today after basketball camp we had a lot of fun with the Hollenback boys-hours of playing with our new "swimming pool." as dad calls it-my washing machine just does continuous cycles of towels, swim trunks, towels, swim trunks-because my lil love just wears these surfer shorts and a wet suit top-no more little bikinis????? How sad they are so cute! Anyhow-we have had a ton of fun on this water "park" pool-I told our kids that if we got these we couldn't have a pass to Splash Montana and they have been okay with it so far.
Mailed out my lil 4th of July picture books for family today!!!! The kids really got into it this year which was fun! I used colored cardstock from the Creative Cafe Line and it was really easy.
My little love started her cheerleading camp tonight. Go figure, she won't wear bikinis but she loves cheerleading camp!!! It was so fun to watch all those little girls (and two boys)!!! But, while we were out - (I should have known something was up, because when I called twice, my husband was out of breath-and couldn't talk) when we got home my husband called us down to watch our newest family video. He had my son tie a piece of dental floss to a football and then throw the football to get his front tooth out! So here we were FOREVER and EVER looking for this tooth outside that will never be found. Anyhow we were looking and my lil man said, let's go in Dad is a dentist-he knows the tooth fairy, "Dad will you just call her!!!!"
So as he fell asleep, he yelled to his dad, "Dad don't forget to make your phone call, it is getting late.!!"
Never a dull moment around here-we should have written a book about the many ways to extract baby teeth, by Dr. Heaphy-we have some interesting stories!!!

Okay I totally have not been good about blogging-too many other things going on right now I guess-so here it goes Stac-I am sorry that I have not been good-
My first class went well-except the instructor (me) forgot to take a photo with everyone in it-sorry Kaylene, Shannon, Michelle, and Cherie????? Next time right?

The class was a lot of fun, and thanks to all of you for taking it. Thinking about doing a travel/trip mini-book if Gina still has room for more classes this summer.

Gifts-I made them all bring a homemade gift under $10 and they were not happy with me-until they all got their cute items that everyone made!! All great ideas!!

Julie...okay this one need some explaining and relates to the last picture-Julie decided to take my little mans motorcycle for a spin-after about 6 or so minutes we couldn't hear the bike anymore. So Amber went running looking for her. (Kaylene and I got in the car....running????) Needless to say she got lost and Amber found her!

I have just finished reading Lisa Bearnson's Book-50 Moments that Matter Most.
It is such a great book and a great inspiration. I loved this book because I have
been looking for great new ideas, and this book has really given me a "focus." If you have the opportunity to grab this book it is a good one to have as part of your scrapbooking collection.
Off to Lowe's to find shelving for our garage!!!!

Why do my eyes keep watering?

Okay today was kindergarten graduation for my little man. I cannot believe it-it seems just like yesterday I was holding him in my arms-and today there he goes already a first grader! I cried the first day of school and today before I went I told myself I was going to hold it together-because my little man told me last night as I was putting him to bed that he promised that he would live with us forever-
he asked me if he HAD to get married and he said he would much rather live here forever, besides he said Dad just put in that new basketball hoop-I can never leave.
Well, needless to say I cried-Molly's slideshow put me to tears time and time again-Everyone always told me before I became a parent that it goes by way too fast-I love these times because it makes me realize that time does fly by and you really need to enjoy each moment!
The cards are pictures of a new set I have been working on. They are all felt-kind of like the ones in the new HOME and HEART issue-thanks Stephanie for the inspiration! It has been a lot of fun working on these!

Alright-Joanns was just a meeting point. Amber needed to give me something before I headed out of town. We were cruzing back to the card aisle and wham-there they were these glasses??? Remember them from when you were a child? This particular pair was just sitting on the shelf, and I just happened to have my camera packed in my purse for the weekend. We could not stop laughing-Amber I love ya.
We had a great weekend at the cabin-it rained most of Friday, but last night we were able to light a fire and have S'mores- My lil love rode her motorcyle for the first time-she went in the ditch a couple of times-but she had so much fun riding through the mud puddles!
I cannot believe tomorrow is already Tuesday!!!! Summer is hopefully almost here!

Happy 33rd Birthday to my sweetie-Of all places to go in town for dinner he wanted to go to Paul's Pancake Parlor- His favorite-Topped it off with cake from Cold Stone-Mint Chocolate Chip-Yummy! The kids were really excited for Ike's birthday-couldn't wait for him to open his gifts and cards-I can't believe sis actually kept his present a secret for 3 weeks now-she actually almost gave it away a couple of times-but held it in! Last night we snuck in the office and Michelle (one of his assistants, my lil love and I ) decorated and cleaned his personal office-We hung pictures, shelves, signs ( from Carrie Godfrey ) and spruced it up- He was so surprised this morning!! I hope he had a great day.
My class that I was posting below is going to be taught at the Scrapbook Hideaway on June 10th. Call to make a reservation if you are interested. The class is going to be called, "Forget me Not."

Enough to Melt my Heart!

Tonight my little man ran in his first track meet. He ran the 400 yd dash-and took
3rd place and ran the 50 yd dash and took 2nd place. He was very proud of his ribbons. When we got home he just melted my heart; he said to us, even though I have arthritis I am still really fast. My husband and I both agreed, you are fast-and he said-I don't care that I have arthritis I am just happy to be alive. A lot to come from a 6 year old. Too much for his mom who has been a nervous wreck all day. He competes with kids from all over and dosen't know anybody, and what if he falls on the track, trips over a shoe-lace, comes in last, drops the baton??? Oh being a mother is something else. But you know what he did better than I and after his comment about being thankful that he's alive-so am I and thankful for the wonderful family-and group of friends I am surrounded by. Thank you little man for reminding me what's important.
I will be away from blogging for a few days-we are having a girls weekend scrapbook retreat!!! It is Ambers birthday and we are going to scrap for 3 days-can't wait-I will post pic. when I come back!! I hope you all have a great weekend!!

In June at the Scrapbook Hideaway, I will be teaching these projects as a class. You will create a clipboard-we are going to Modge Podge a clipboard and decorate it. I will provide you with this note pad that says; Things to do. A to do list for you to remember those, "Important things and People in your Life." Like picking you child up from school, sending your mother-in-law a birthday card. Which brings me to the second part of the class. We will decorate this lunch box that will house cards-We will also be making 5 cards. Beginners, and advanced scrapbookers (maybe you can teach me something) alike are encouraged to take this class. It is going to be in June and if you are interested call the Scapbook Hideaway to register. See their link on the right of my blog. Off to make Chocolate Chip Cookies for Sr. Friend Day at my little mans school!!

Flowers Flowers Everywhere....

The headbands-are flowers from the Creative Cafe at the Scrapbook Hideaway-you can buy them individually which is nice-they are 30 cents or 40 cents each. I bought these headbands for $1 at claires-the burgandy and silver headband is for the Griz Games!! Really easy to make-infact I used heavy duty glue dots to put them on the headband!!
I bought my hanging baskets this week at Caras-I hope they make it-They are so beautiful-my wonderful husband brings them in every night and hangs them in the garage so that they don't freeze-We were going to plant the garden-but maybe in a week or two-still too cold!!
Remember that stamps changed TODAY so if you are mailing anything that requires a stamp the new rate is in effect today!!

Aprons for the Bearnson Girls

Lisa B was going on TV today so last week she asked me if I would sew she and her girls a couple aprons-This is one of the girls-You can see them in their aprons on Lisas website at www.lisabearnson.com (see link at right of my blog) . They were on the Studio 5 news show for a Mom's in Utah show/they were cooking.
These aprons are really fun and easy to do! The fabric shown here is Michael Miller.
My little love is feeling better-no school yet-not till next week. Tomorrow is field day for my little man and he is so excited-he couldn't fall asleep!
For all you moms out there I hope you have a wonderful "Mother's Day," weekend!
I am going to spend it with my family-hopefully planting our garden!!

Girl Wonder has "remonia"

Okay my lil love has had a fever on and off since last Thurs-got better over the weekend and then Mon. night I couldn't get it down past 102-so I took her in yesterday and sure enough Pnemonia-
This little mask is what she wears for her breathing treatments and she loves it-She said that we need to call her "Chicken Joe" from Surfs Up when she wears it.
But it was so sad when we got home from the Dr. last night-Her friends were outside and she wanted to see them-I told her she couldn't play and she needed to tell her friends she would see them another time. We got out of the car and she said, "I can't play you guys I have remonia."
The other is her new favorite toy-a sword of her brothers made out of PVC pipe. She takes it with her everywhere. (I think that she uses it to hit her brother when he is picking on her) But at night she perches it up in the corner so that it is "safe until morning." She loves this Piece of PVC pipe-she is my super girl!!
